Philadelphia Geek Awards

It won Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly 2015 Party of the Year, and it’s happening Saturday, Aug. 15.

It’s the Philadelphia Geek Awards, presented by the hyperlocal geek blog Geekadelphia and the Academy.

Tickets are sold out, but you can still revel in the fun Saturday night by following on social media as the winners are announced. Follow @PHLGeekAwards and @AcadNatSci on Twitter and Facebook.The official hashtag is #PHLGeekAwards. The ceremony begins at 8 p.m.

Now entering its fifth consecutive year, the Philadelphia Geek Awards, a black-tie, red-carpet affair, aims to celebrate and honor Philly’s bustling geek community. From Comic Creator of the Year to I.R.L. (In Real Life) Project of the Year, the awards showcase 13 different categories covering a wide array of the geek spectrum.

The 2015 nominees are listed on the official Philadelphia Geek Awards website. They are competing in these categories:
