Check out this incredible art by Kindergarten stud Check out this incredible art by Kindergarten students at Frankford Friends School! Teacher Danielle Pramick reached out to us to let us know that students had been inspired by our Plastic-free Philly artists.

"At the end of the school year, we studied water, trash, and water quality. After learning about the problem, the students decided they wanted to create art with recyclable materials. As we were building it, I came across the new exhibit to promote Plastic-free Philly. They were really inspired by the Artists' statement videos. Here is our artwork, maybe it will inspire someone else! It's so great to see kids and adult artists sharing similar values to create a better community."

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, when on June 19, 1865, a Union general arrived in Galveston, Texas, spreading the news of freedom to enslaved African Americans. Celebrated for 150 years by African Americans and now a federal holiday, it’s a time for us to gather with friends, family and our community as we reflect on, honor and celebrate Black achievements, culture, education and excellence.
